| 3 inch AUA hardware is for use with 2x4's and is used primarily for making the rails that join and tie table legs together. A basic table requires 8 AUAs to connect four rails to four legs directly under the table top, and 16 if building a workbench or worktable with a second set of rails around the lower portion of the table providing greater strength and stability. Tables can be any size! 3 inch is also used in conjunction with making: arm rests for seating, low profile headboard of an eVillage bed, and canopy rails of an ePalace bed, which tie the top rails of the canopy to the top most part of the bed posts. A canopy can be left as is or draped with fabric. |

| 4.5 inch AUA hardware is used primarily 2x6 materials used in making the foundation rails that join legs of benches, chairs, ottomans, love seats, couches, and lounges together. 4.5 inch is also used when making an eRanch bed headboard and or short back benches. 4.5 inch can also be used in making bed rails, but as a precaution we suggest a full 2 inches for added strength when using softwoods such as pines and firs, where as with denser hardwoods it should not be an issue. |

| 6 inch AUA hardware is use primarily with 2x8's and used primarily for making foundation rails for a bed. 6 inch is also used when making an eCountry or ePalace bed headboard and for making large (tall) back benches. |

| 8 inch AUA hardware is used primarily with 2x10's and 2x12's for making making profiled featureboards (bed headboards or seating backrests) for beds and benches. Note: 8 inch AUA hardware requires a minimum board height (width) of 9.25 inches on its ends where the hardware is attached. |
