- The exposed portion of an ArtUnion Assembly plate can be
simple in appearance or laser-pierced with designs of art and
culture. They can also be hand-forged or cast, creating three-dimensional
designs. Additionally, ArtUnion Plates can be colored and textured,
producing exciting contrasts to the surrounding wood. Application
of art and design is not limited to ArtUnion Plates. Other Arts
& Culture furniture component materials such as wood, glass
and stone can also be embellished with art and design through
a variety of engraving, carving, photographic and stenciling
processes. Tamalpais TimberWorks also collaborates with famous
crafts people from around the world who are known for their craftsmanship
in wood, metal, stone, and glass to produce striking limited
production pieces.

- Much of Tamalpais TimberWorks design and manufacturing is
done with the aid of computer-integrated equipment (CAD/CAM,
and CNC). Tamalpais TimberWorks can work with any paper-based
or computer-based design a customer may wish to incorporate into
a piece of custom furniture. Customers will soon be able to buy
ArtUnion Assemblies separately, with which they can design and
construct their own creations. For those choosing this option,
a catalog of basic furniture ideas and plans will be available
free of charge.
